Who Can Apply

Freedom Dwelling is open to U.S. veterans who:

  • Need a safe and stable living environment

  • Are able to live independently in a residential home

  • Agree to follow house expectations that protect everyone

  • Want structure, encouragement, and a peaceful place to rebuild

  • Are willing to contribute an agreed-upon monthly housing amount

We welcome veterans from all backgrounds and life transitions.

We are:

  • A peaceful residential home

  • Faith-based encouragement and community

  • Predictable structure and house expectations

  • A supportive environment for rebuilding

We are not:

  • A medical, psychiatric, or detox facility

  • A treatment center

  • A shelter or emergency placement

  • A program with clinical services

We are a home, and our mission is to help veterans stabilize and move forward.

What to Expect as a Resident

Residents can expect:

  • A quiet, respectful environment

  • Shared home responsibilities

  • Weekly house rhythm and structure

  • Opportunities for faith-based encouragement

  • Personal space and dignity

  • Support connecting with VA and community resources

Our goal is to provide a healthy environment where veterans can breathe again and take the next steps toward independence.

Residency Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Provide proof of veteran status

  • Meet with us for an in-person or virtual conversation

  • Agree to follow house expectations

  • Have or apply for a steady income source (VA benefits, SSDI, employment, etc.)

  • Not be actively using drugs or alcohol

  • Not require medical or psychiatric supervision
